STICKING
  • To prevent sticking of dosa on pan, every time clean the pan with salty water.
  • To avoid sticking of handwa, before pouring the batter apply roughly ground flour with oil.
  • Put an inverted saucer in a vessel of dudhpak (sweetened boiled milk) to avoid it sticking at the bottom.
  • To remove stickiness in ladyfinger's vegetable add curd to it.
  • While sizzling ladyfingers sizzle it with fenugreek seeds to avoid it being sticky.
TASTY & NUTRITIOUS
  • Sprinkle salt water on potato or banana chips before frying them.
  • To preserve nutrients in a food item cover with a lid while cooking.
THICKNESS
  • Add a tsp of ghee in thin curd rayta to make it thick.
  • If the cutlets mixture becomes loose then add dry parched rice (pauva) into it to make it thick and absorb additional water.
FRUITS
  • To make fragranced tea put the peels of orange while making tea.
  • Keep sweet lemon and oranges in warm water to extract more juice from it.
  • Rice water of 3rd wash, prevent raw banana from getting black.
BREAD
  • To absorb excess water while making vegetable put a piece of bread or toast in it.
  • While preparing breadcrumbs dry bread in the sunshine or refrigerate for some time and then crush the bread.
  • Warm a knife on gas and then cut bread lumps for ease.
COOKED VEGETABLE
  • To avoid peas, green chana & other vegetables from loosing its natural colour put a pinch of sugar while cooking it.
  • While boiling chhole put boiled tea powder tied in a cloth.
RAW VEGETABLE
  • Socking of onion before cutting avoids eye burning.
  • To get rid of worms from cauliflower keep it in salted warm water for some time.
  • To preserve vitamins cut salad just before serving.
  • Use a pair of scissors to cut coriander leaves, chillies and leafy veg.
  • To preserve cut vegetables put them in water.
  • Before cutting suran, raw banana & jackfruit apply oil on palms.
CHUTNEY
  • Chutney of parval and turiya peels will be full of vitamins.
  • Keep chutney in banana leaves to keep it fresh for a longer time.
OTHER
  • Add little butter in hot sugar syrup.
  • Put salt in tomato juice after heating to avoid the discolouring.
  • To get full pieces of walnut pour warm water on walnut before breaking.
  • While frying puris put them in a newspaper first so that it soaks excess oil.
  • While heating milk apply ghee to bottom of the vessel to prevent it from burning.
