0600 HOURS IST OF 29TH MAY 2001 . THE CYCLONIC STORM OVER THE ARABIAN
SEA HAS WEAKENED INTO A DEPRESSION AT 0230 HOURS IST OF TODAY ABOUT 50
KM WEST OF PORBANDAR. IT IS LIKELY TO WEAKEN FURTHER OVER THE SEA ITSELF
AND BECOME UNIMPORTANT. RAIN/THUNDERSHOWERS ARE LIKELY TO OCCUR AT MANY
PLACES IN ANDAMAN & NICOBAR ISLANDS, ARUNACHAL PRADESH, ASSAM &
MEGHALAYA, NAGALAND, MANIPUR, MIZORAM & TRIPURA, SUB-HIMALAYAN WEST
BENGAL & SIKKIM, GUJARAT STATE, KONKAN & GOA, COASTAL KARNATAKA,
KERALA & LAKSHADWEEP, AT A FEW PLACES IN GANGETIC WEST BENGAL, ORISSA,
JHARKHAND, UTTAR PRADESH, UTTARANCHAL, HARYANA, PUNJAB, HIMACHAL PRADESH,
JAMMU & KASHMIR, EAST RAJASTHAN, MADHYA MAHARASHTRA, COASTAL ANDHRA
PRADESH AND SOUTH INTERIOR KARNATAKA AND ISOLATED PLACES OVER THE REST
OF THE COUNTRY. HEAVY RAINFALL IS LIKELY TO OCCUR AT ISOLATED PLACES IN
ANDAMAN & NICOBAR ISLANDS, GUJARAT STATE, COASTAL KARNATAKA, KERALA
